Dr. I. Jasmine Selvakumari Jeya is an Associate Professor Senior Grade 1 in the School of Computing Science and Engineering, VIT Bhopal University. She received her Ph.D degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2016. She is having more than 19 years of experience in teaching and research. She has published more than 35 research papers in International Journals with good impact factor, 30 patents published and 2 Patents granted. She has presented 40 papers in International and National Conferences. She has published 7 books from reputed publication like McGraw-Hill, CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, Cengage, Scientific International Publishing House and B P International. She has produced 5 Ph.D scholar in Anna University, Chennai. The area of interest includes Medical Image Database, Information Security, Image Processing, Data Mining and Cloud Computing. She has received research grant more than 16 Lakhs from various government organization like AICTE, CSIR, DRDO, RGNIYD, INSA and TNSCST for conducting International Conferences, Seminar, STTP, FDP, Workshop and Research Projects. She served as a State Student Coordinator (SSC) for Tamil Nadu, Region VII, Computer Society of India (CSI) in 2020 - 2021. She received State Winner Coordinator Award from ICT Academy, Active Participation Award for Woman Member from Computer Society of India, Inspiring Innovative Faculty Award, Best Teacher Award, Best Department Award, Appreciation for outstanding contribution and support award for Learnathon 2022 from ICT Academy, Special Appreciation Award for NPTEL Country Topper and Longest Continuous Student Branch Coordinator Award from the Computer Society of India (CSI). She was acted as a CSI student branch coordinator for more than 13 years. She is a life member of Institution of Engineers, Computer Society of India and International Association of Engineers. She acted as a SPOC for the Smart India Hackathon, NASSCOM Future Skill, ICT Academy Learnathon, Flipkart 3.0 Grid Contest and Naalaiyathiran Project based learning. She has held administrative positions like Head of the Department, Board of Study Chairman, Academic Council Member, SIRO Recognition DSIR Coordinator, NAAC Criteria 3 Manager, R & D Coordinator, NBA Coordinator, NIRF Coordinator, AISHE Coordinator, Research Incentive and Research Seed Money Project Coordinator, Data Analytics Club, CSI Club and Programming Club Convener, Ranking and Awards Coordinator and ISO Coordinator. She has delivered the keynote address in national and international conferences and guest lecture for various seminar, workshop, FDP and STTP.
