Dr. Ashok Kumar Baral has done his Ph.D. in Physics at IIT Madras and M.Sc. (Physics) at Ravenshaw (Autonomous) College (Utkal University), Odisha. He has over seven years research experience in various international institutes. He has worked as a Visiting Scientist at Technion- Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. He has done his postdoctoral research at University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) Seoul, Republic of Korea and at The Materials and Physical Engineering Laboratory (LMGP), Grenoble, France. He has 20 publications in international journals with high impact factors and 11 publications in national/international conferences. He has a broad research background in the fields of Advanced Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage systems, Solid State Ionics, Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs), Electro- Ceramics, Solid Electrolytes (O 2- , H + , Li + conductors) for Fuel Cells (SOFCs), Electrolyzers (SOECs) and All Solid State Li-batteries, and development of mixed ionic-electronic conducting (MIEC) electrodes for SOFCs and Electrolyzers / water splitting.
