Dr. Md. Tauseef Qamar

Assistant Professor

Dr. Md. Tauseef Qamar holds a Doctorate in Computational Linguistics and an M.A. in Linguistics, both awarded by Aligarh Muslim University, India. He possesses a wealth of academic and corporate experience, having previously served as an Assistant Professor of English Linguistics at St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru, India, and as a Speech Scientist at Nuance Communications, Lucknow, India. Dr. Qamar’s doctoral thesis deals with “Multiword Expressions and their Role in Urdu-Hindi Machine Translation: A Language Engineering Approach.” Additionally, his scholarly contributions are noteworthy, with seven articles published in esteemed Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals in Linguistics, Education, and technology. Notably, three of these articles have received significant recognition within the Linguistics community for their valuable insights. One article, titled “Coroneologisms and Word Formation Processes in Hindi-English Code-mixed Words,” has even been indexed in the WHO COVID-19 Research Database.
