Dr. Arindam Sadhukhan is a Visvesvaraya research fellow, and he pursued his PhD from the Electrical Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna, in 2022. He had done his M.Tech in the Mathematics & Computing branch of the Indian Institute of Technology Patna. His B.Tech is in Electrical Engineering from Kalyani Government Engineering College, West Bengal.He has a specialization in electrical power system optimization, specifically energy optimization, EV technology, micro-grid operations, large EV fleet management, EV charging station placement and planning, EV charging strategy, stochastic modelling, uncertainty analysis, renewable energy source integration, etc. He is been extensively investigating the problems of EV charging and their impacts on the grid. He has published journals at IEEE Transactions. He has presented his research work at national conferences like NPSC, ICPS.He has used soft computing techniques and their applications in data science, using machine learning, pattern recognition, clustering, mathematical modeling, parallel computing, and optimization techniques.He is also involved in reviewing many conferences and journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, etc.He had helped in establishing power system protection lab, and Micro-grid operation setup with a connected rooftop solar system and wind turbine, at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna. He has field experience in electrical power distribution, power transmission and security systems, and supply maintenance in train lighting and AC systems.
