Faculty Details

Dr. M. Xavier Suresh earned his Ph.D. from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and was a recipient of Post Doctoral Fellowship from JSPS (Japanese Society for Promotion of Science), Japan. He has more than 52 publications in national and international journals including Nucleic Acid Research to his credit. He has contributed for the development of biological databases and bioinformatics tools to predict the ligand binding membrane protein sequences. He supervised several UG, PG dissertations and two of his Ph.D. students successfully defended their thesis. His present areas of research interest include Computational biophysics, Molecular Modeling and simulation of protein-ligand interactions and biomaterials.
