Dr. Soumya Sankar Ghosh

Senior Assistant Professor

Dr. Soumya Sankar Ghosh is a Doctorate from the School of Languages and Linguistics, Jadavpur University Kolkata, India. He has done his Masters in Linguistics from University of Calcutta, India. His teaching experience is in Applied Linguistics, Core Linguistics, Communicative and Business English. Dr. Ghosh has worked on conversation model building or dialogue processing in the field of machine learning. He is interested in both Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Natural Language Generation (NLG) in order to extract meaning from spoken or written discourse and in feeding NLG System so that machines can deliver the desired output. He has publications in UGC-CARE listed, ACL, SCOPUS, CPCI (Web of Science) indexed journals and proceedings. He is a National Advisory Committee Member of International Conference on Rhythm in Speech and Music (ICRSM) and General Member of Linguistic Society of India (LSI).
