Mr. Sankar Viswanathan, Vice President was born on 13th April 1966. He completed his Advanced Diploma in Engineering Technology, at Chisholm Institute, Melbourne, Australia. He has held honoured positions as the Chairman, and Vice-Chairman of Vellore Engineering College, Vellore before taking over charge as the Pro-Chancellor (Academic) at VIT. Prof. T. B. Sridharan
Prof. T. B. Sridharan graduated in 1991 from the University of Madras and earned his master’s in Zoology (Entomology) from Annamalai University in 1994. He joined as a JRF (Medical Entomologist) in the Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE) in Gwalior and has completed his PhD (1998) in neurobiology of sensory organs in insects (Dr Shri Prakash’s Lab). His doctoral thesis involves collaborative research work of DRDE Gwalior with Prof. R. KK Nair
KK Nair holds MSW (Master of Social Work with Pers. Mgt, IR & Welfare specialization) and LLM degrees. He had 36 year long career in BHEL and lastly held the post of General Manager (HR-Law) at BHEL Head Office, New Delhi. Before that he had served BHEL Bhopal, a large manufacturing Unit in various capacities in the different functional areas of its Human Resource Management. Post retirement, since 2018 associated with VIT Bhopal University in various capacities as Registrar (2018-22), Faculty (Management & Law subjects) & Special Officer on Legal & Employee Relations matters. Shri Nair has a wealth of experience in both industry and academia. He assumed charge as Acting Registrar of the VIT Bhopal University on 26 th November 2024.
